In the participant's understanding, the design focus of this biophilic luxury hotel lies in the sharp contrast between the exterior natural surroundings and the interior comfortable experience. Situated amidst vast mountains and pristine nature, the resort offers a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The quiet houses and cozy atmosphere create a sense of tranquility that is rarely found in traditional hotels.

One of the key features of Shilily Mangata Resort is the seamless integration of the interior and exterior spaces. The designer achieves this by using multiple French windows that blur the line between the indoors and outdoors. This design choice allows guests to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature from the comfort of their rooms, creating a truly immersive experience.

To enhance the natural and cultural ambiance, the resort is adorned with Bohemian decor that adds a touch of artistic elegance. The play of mountain winds, leafy shadows, and the setting sun creates a unique and ever-changing atmosphere that captivates guests and immerses them in the moment.

With a project area of 200,000 square meters, Shilily Mangata Resort offers a wide range of amenities and activities for guests to enjoy. From exploring nearby lychee orchards and reservoirs to immersing oneself in the surrounding wetlands, the resort provides diverse opportunities to connect with nature and indulge in a truly ecological vacation.

Throughout the design process, Liangchao Li and the design team carefully considered the relationship between exotic elements, natural materials, and the art of lighting. By using a yellow spatial color theme that follows the earth and the architecture itself, along with log furniture as small partitions, the resort creates an intimate bond between humans, space, and nature.

Completed in February 2021 in Huizhou, Guangdong, Shilily Mangata Resort stands as a testament to the designer's dedication to creating a harmonious and immersive experience for guests. The resort has garnered recognition for its innovative design, winning the Iron A' Design Award in 2022 for its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach to hospitality.
